I couldn’t have made The David Green Show by myself, and as such was helped out by many talented people. I will be mentioning a few different people specifically as each episode is released, but as we approach the release of episode one this Monday I would like to draw your attention to Dick Whyte. Dick is my old friend from way back in high school; by some calculations we have known each other for 20 years. As well as being the camera operator for my show, Dick also supplied the voice of Frank, the fictional camera operator for David’s show. Dick lent his time to be there for every shoot, read every script, and provide a solid sounding board for advice, all of which was invaluable. On top of all that, he also contributed several music tracks which can be heard playing in the background of some scenes. So Mr Whyte, thank you very much for your time, support and friendship for all of these years. And thanks for persevering and waiting so long as I crawled my way to the finis...

Now that the teaser trailer is out, you've all had a chance to hear the theme music for the show. The track is titled Rhymes with Caution  and was composed by Jasmine Lovell-Smith who was my neighbour whom I met when I used to live in my old flat. The track was performed live as part of a performance at Happy Bar which I video-taped for her. As far as I know the track isn't officially available, but Jasmine has also released an album of similar music entitled Fortune Songs which is available on iTunes. So, understandably a bunch of people have been wanting to know what The David Green Show is all about. The original idea was simple: What if a regular guy one day decided to make a TV show out of his own life? And what if that guys’ life was pretty plain and boring except that he embarrasses himself on camera, all while trying to get himself on TV? In 2005 I wrote scripts for thirteen 22 minute episodes of a TV show called “My Life”, and the very first scene was shot on January 16, 2006. Not the most efficient schedule. Despite being fully scripted, much of what you’ll see was improvised on the day, either following the original script to some degree, or often just a bullet list of story points. It was a big ask to get people, many of whom were not actors to perform scenes with virtually no script. And to then ask them to try and take it seriously when I’m being so stupid, was even more ridiculous. But, everyone was keen to be involved and they all stepped up and delivered admira...
